Included herein are more than 100 articles from five years of Certification Communications (January 2001 through March 2005). The articles are presented in chronological order, and related themes can be cross-referenced in the Contents section by titles. The authors are Hugh K. Webster and Richard C. Jaffeson. Mr. Webster is a partner with the Washington, DC law firm of Webster, Chamberlain and Bean. Mr. Jaffeson is the executive director of the National Certification Commission, Chevy Chase, MD. The Commission, established in 1993, offers membership to national associations with certification programs. More than 150 organizations belong to the Commission representing designations in nearly 300 professions and occupations. In addition, the Commission offers certification recognition for program administrators, and affords national registration approval for association designations. There are also weekly articles in response to member inquires regarding certification issues, which are listed in the Appendix section of this book.
