The BOOK of DICK contains roughly 200 short and to the point sayings or "idioms" which the author refers to as "DICK-IDIOMS." They are interesting original quotes of the author, gleaned from his many years of jotting down little bits of wisdom from his daily encounters. DICK-IDIOMS can be humorous, solemn, enlightening or instructive and many straddle those lines, however they are always intended to be of an entertaining and educational nature. A few examples would be DICK-IDIOM #189 LIFE'S TRUTH - REALITY - "Money buys classy things, but class ain't one of em." OR DICK-IDIOM #174 LIFE'S LESSONS - A TOAST - "May you never face the dire need... to cross a bridge you've already burned." OR DICK-IDIOM #142 PHILOSOPHY - LIFE'S PLEASURES - "Too much talk, spoils a good walk." OR DICK-IDIOM #140 MILITARY SERVICE - BASIC TRAINING - "The relevance of today's accomplishment shall validate the essence of yesterday's preparations."
