The prevalence of tobacco, alcohol and drug consumption was 9.4%, 47.8% and 1.1% respectively. Tobacco, alcohol and drug dependence was 16.1%, 18.6% and 20% respectively. The use of these substances was more common among boys than girls. Initiation to these substances takes place at a very early age and generally before the age of 15.Addiction among adolescents in schools is a reality and requires efforts by all actors to combat this compromising practice for young people.
