She has three adult children and three grandchildren, plus six step-children and 16 step-grandchildren. At present she teaches art, and creates commissioned works. Although the characters of this novel are fictional, a number of the events as Alison experienced have been lived out in the life of the author, bringing her a deeper understanding of extending forgiveness.
