Description
The short stories in A Devil's Work takes us on a journey to the between world of outsiders.
We meet the oddball Mrs Blomm, a newcomer to a close-knit local community in the Norwegian countryside with a penchant for walking about naked; the lone traveller moving through countries on the Trans-Siberian railway, interpreting but not understanding what she sees; the successful mother and career woman who feels alienated and struggles to keep her persona from slipping; and sometimes outsiders--lone wolves--do terrible things.
Margrethe Alexandroni, author of Flight of the Albatross, has also published short stories and articles in English and Norwegian. She is a former Teaching Fellow: Department of Scandinavian Studies in the school of European Languages, Culture & Society, University College London.
