Description

"Dear children! In a special way I call you all to pray for my intentions so that, through your prayers, you may stop Satan's plan over this world, which is further from God every day, and which puts itself in the place of God and is destroying everything that is beautiful and good in the souls of each of you. Therefore, little children, arm yourselves with prayer and fasting so that you may be conscious of how much God loves you and may carry out God's will. Thank you for having responded to my call." -Our Lady of Medjugorje's Message, October 25, 2008 This quoted part of Chris Michael Johnson's poem "Responding-Our Lady's Medjugorje Message, October 25, 2008" is the central theme of his collection of poems written in A Bit of Madness. Johnson had, for a time, battled his own demons and mental illness until his spiritual reawakening and rekindled love and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ whose Second Coming he awaits in the last days of this world. The verses and lines of his poems spoke of his personal experiences and observations of a world gone wayward, influenced by Satan, continually turning away from God's love. About the Author Chris Michael Johnson is a retired teacher and currently a member of Christ Church St. Lawrence Sydney (High Church). Although he devotes most of his time to writing and church service, he is a big fan of Peterborough United Football Club. He wrote his first book, Just Among Friends, in 2009.
