Description

Contemplation is attained in stillness and can continue into the meaningless noise that is constantly competing for our attention. The noise of constant advertising, comparing, isolating commutes and the unrequited nervousness that doesn't seem to want to go away- all this noise eventually drowns out the inner being's purposeful lessons.

There is no need to practice contemplation to survive and succeed in society. Contemplation is what helps us to survive the dark night of the soul, and keeps us afloat when our vision for the future fails. Contemplation is able to help us make sense of the losses in our lives. Contemplation isn't found in this book, because contemplation is only in each individual's being, and when it's found, it's found only within the contemplator.

So what is the point of even putting up this book, with a non spiritual looking dark cover on Amazon? Who the author pays Amazon at times, to advertise to people who Amazon is trying to take their money from, and then taking this authors money, to take their money to give some of it to this author, and then take some money from the book that Amazon got paid to advertise. There is no point.

The only point is that right now, if this strange little book being advertised to you is somehow resonating an intuition that maybe, just maybe, I want to read a book about contemplation.

The author who wrote this book contemplated 31 different things, or maybe it was just one thing with 31 different sides. The author has a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Many of the things contemplated in this book were related to experiences in the author's personal life, and the authors experience working from the therapist chair, trying to help hold other's feelings of grief, suicide, panic, trauma, heart break and shame.

There are different paths to contemplation. Sometimes contemplation is found in reading a book, and sometimes you are sitting on a train watching everything go by and begin to be filled with possibility. This book's aim was to give a safe setting and the ideas you need to anchor you as you look within the self. So go contemplate and then have fun.
