Ebony was born in Phoenix, AZ, then moved to Seattle, WA, and is now settled in Jackson, MS. Ebony is the fifth child out of ten children. She has been inspired by her father, who is a pastor and constantly gives in the community. Her older brother, Eddie James, has also set a great example of having a heart to give. Eddie James is a leading Christian artist; whos ministry has touched millions through song and giving. Ebony has seen the need to help supply needs in the Jackson, Mississippi, community. She founded Give Outrageously, GO, a nonprofit that provides fun community evets while feeding those in need and providing basic essentials. GO, also serves the inner-city schools in Jackson and partners with other organizations. Ebony is married to Wilbur Jones. Together they have six children. They have created a beautiful blended family, four boys and two girls. Ebony homeschools her daughters, Leah and Phoebe, who both are challenged with dyslexia. Ebony is a graduate of Forest Hill High School. She did her undergraduate studies at Strayer University and majored in Business Marketing. Ebony has a graduate degree from California Baptist University in Organizational Leadership. She serves on the Mississippi Food Sytems cohort. Ebony was recently recognized as being one of the 50 Top Black Women in Business by the Mississippi Black Women Business Expo. She owns King Lyon Consulting, a consultive marketing technology firm for faith based businesses and organizations.
