Description

On May 3, 1979, I began the recuperation process from a radical mastectomy. It was a blessing to know that the malignancy had been caught in the very early stages and there would be no need for chemotherapy. However, breast cancer would be the first of life's challenges that would bring me to my knees in prayer over the next three decades. This book describes 30 years of fear-provoking situations that resulted in life-changing victories when God showed me unmerited favor and intervened. Time after time, I have looked back in amazement as I realized that He had been the orchestrator of my victories over breast cancer, bankruptcy, life-threatening illnesses, unemployment and foreclosure. This book was written to encourage others to trust God with today's circumstances. He is as real today as He was in the Bible. --Gale -----In June, 1988, Gale quit her secure job as a Personnel Analyst for Alameda County in Oakland, California, and moved to northern California. Why? Because she felt prompted by God to entrust her family's needs to Him. When she asked for confirmation that this was God's will for her, she had a dream. In the dream, she was in the distance observing Jesus and His disciples when He walked on water as described in Matthew 14. In that dream, she got her answer. She and her husband Larry quit their jobs in spite of their fears, and they moved the family. That same faith and trust in God have guided their lives through the years. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's degree in Business and Human Resource Management. She has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, and over twelve years in career counseling and training. She is currently an author and public speaker. While she is proud of her professional accomplishments, it has been God's grace and favor that have sustained her and her family.
