Ion S. Melnik is a Soviet era and contemporary Russian composer. Although he is mainly known for his choral music, he composed a number of marches, some of which have become widely used. His march from a documentary film about DOSAAF, a Russian youth organization, became the anthem of the organization in the 1980's. The included selection contains seventeen works composed between 2010 - 2018. The selection is split between piano scores (the first eight compositions), and instrumental scores (the remaining nine compositions). The instrumental sheet music is for the piano, violin, and violoncello.
